Job Summary:
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving territory growth across Long Island by cultivating strong relationships with architects, landscape architects, designers, contractors, builders, and dealer partners. This role requires a deep background in natural stone, strong technical understanding of exterior materials, and the ability to influence specifications, generate new business, and manage projects from concept through fulfillment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with a refined design sensibility, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of revenue creation within Natural Stone Industry. You must have a strong background in high-end cut to size projects.
This position is critical to expanding ABC’s presence in the Long Island market. You will be educating designers, supporting contractors, influencing specifications, and ensuring projects run smoothly from concept to completion.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Territory Sales and Business Development
- Territory Growth - Drive sales across Long Island by identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities.
- Network Development – Build and maintain relationships with architects, landscape architects, designers, contractors, builders, and fabricators.
- Lead Generation – Source new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, showroom visits, and jobsite engagement.
- Conducts in-person presentations, CEUs, Lunch & Learns, and product demonstrations (in showroom, client offices, or via Zoom).
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and ABC showroom events to represent the brand and expand market reach.
- Introduce and explain materials, applications, and installation considerations to clients with a design-forward approach.
Specification Influence & Project Support
- Spec Strategy — Influence architectural and landscape specifications early in the design cycle.
- Guide clients through material selection suitable for the project.
- Conduct site visits, project walk-throughs, and design consultations as needed.
- Maintain active project pipelines in CRM (SalesForce), ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
Order Coordination & Client Fulfillment
- Liaise with Inside Sales, SPO, Procurement & Shipping teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding lead times, special orders, delivery schedules, and project requirements.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent communication and post-sale support.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the VP of Sales on territory goals and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing to support regional campaigns and targeted outreach.
- Share market feedback with procurement and product development teams.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and Business Development to ensure seamless client experience.
Overtime as needed, due to needs of the business may at times be mandatory
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Landscape design expertise (must have a strong background in landscape design, landscape architecture, hardscape materials or exterior product sales).

Other requirements:
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel throughout Long Island and occasionally to regional events
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- At least seven years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Frequent standing, walking, and travel to client sites.
- Regular use of computer, phone, and digital communication tools.
- Ability to adjust focus and perform product demonstrations.

Salary - $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year plus competitive commission structure.
Base salary negotiable based on experience and demonstrated expertise.
