Warehouse Shipping Manager

At this exciting time in our company, ABC stone has an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Shipping Manager to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Warehouse Shipping Manager to oversee the coordination and tracking of goods from the port to our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing logistics plans efficiently, negotiating transportation costs, and maintaining quality throughout the logistics processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track the movement of goods from the port to the warehouse
  • Execute logistics plans to move products at the least possible cost
  • Review freight rates and transportation costs, negotiate with transportation companies
  • Maintain quality during the logistic processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate processes, implement drop shipping, and reduce environmental impact
  • Ensure customer's financial requirements meet sales terms before scheduling shipments
  • Generate packing lists based on customer request dates and dispatch shipments accordingly
  • Perform outgoing inspection of products before shipment, comparing quality to the notes in the ERP system
  • Communicate any product issues to clients before delivery is scheduled
  • Review all deliveries and collaborate with sales, accounting, and purchasing on any issues
  • Organize shipping for both Warehouse locations (Hicksville & Brooklyn)
  • Coordinate Truck maintenance scheduling with Facilities Coordinator
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM software
  • Experience in the Natural Stone Industry is preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management strongly preferred
  • At least two years related experience required.

Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience

Schedule: This position is Monday - Friday with Saturday as needed. This position is based out of Hicksville but will at times require travel to our Brooklyn Warehouse.
